How to simulate crush and disintegrate objects in Maya

How to simulating exploding objects in Maya

importance in the visual and cinematic world. In this tutorial, produced in 2015–2016 and presented in two parts, I demonstrate how to break apart textured 3D models in Maya. This simulation process utilizes Maya’s dynamics

and particle systems. In the first part, we break apart a picture frame, and in the second part, a standing sculpture is destroyed. The tutorial is at an intermediate level.

The destruction process combines dynamics tools and shading techniques, and naturally, the final result can be clearly seen during rendering. In upcoming tutorials, we will explore these topics step by step at more advanced levels, so be sure to follow our website for updates.
