Over many years, I focused on understanding dynamics and simulation in Maya. In 2016, I produced this tutorial series to teach and explore fluid capabilities in Maya, presented across five separate lessons. The tutorial covers
the full scope of Fluids in Maya, explaining everything that can be created using Maya’s fluid system. The course is at an intermediate level.
It’s important to note that no third-party plugins were used in these simulations; all work was done using Maya’s built-in tools. Maya is one of the few programs that has included a native fluid system almost from the beginning, so there was no need for special plugins. Over eight years of working with Maya (from 2010 onward), I extensively used its fluid system, and you can see examples of this in my portfolio. In 2015 and 2016, I compiled these experiences into a series of tutorial videos for you. More advanced tutorials are also on the way, with significantly higher production quality.
